Airworthiness Cybersecurity is key in handling security threats linked to intentional unauthorized electronic interaction to aircraft safety.
The methodologies described in this webinar allow engineers to define the security scope, identify the threat conditions and scenarios, and evaluate the level of threat based on Security Measures characterization.
The technical content in this webinar is based on ED-202A/DO-326A (Process Specification, dated 2014), ED-203/DO-356A (Methods and Considerations, dated 2015) and ED-204/DO-355 (Continued Airworthiness, dated 2014).

What will you learn in this webinar?

Security Scope Definition (SSD)

Definition of the assets of the system, the security perimeter and the security environment.

Security Risk Assessment

Based on the security scope and the Failure Conditions from a Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA):

  • Thread Conditions identification and evaluation
  • Thread Scenario identification
  • Security Measures characterization
  • Level of Thread evaluation

Security Verification

Airworthiness Security is verified based on the following tests:

  • Security Requirements Tests
  • Security Robustness Tests
  • Vulnerability Tests

Continued Airworthiness

During the continued airworthiness of the aircraft, consider security industry standards, perform a Change Impact Analysis and vary the effort depending on rework size.

Who is this webinar aimed at?

Aerospace Industry

Airframe manufacturers, system integrators, equipment suppliers and certification authorities who need a quick, global vision on this topic

Technical Roles

Design system engineers, reliability engineers or system engineers who would like to get an industry vision of the cybersecurity assessment process both from a purely technical point of view or aimed at certification approval

Professionals and Students

Any professional or advanced student involved with the security assessment of civil aircraft and associated systems and equipment
